Dynamic Stillness Part One: The Practice of Trika Yoga
|
From Library Journal
The first book of this series, The Practice of Trika Yoga (Rudra Pr., 1990) introduced one of the oldest practices of meditation in religion. This second installment continues the study of the Tantric Yoga of Northern India known as Kashmir Shaivism, and aims to guide readers along the path of spiritual development. Chetanananda, a master of meditation affiliated with the Nityananda Institute of Boston, explains the significance of the religio-philosophic aspects of the god Shiva, a leading god in the Hindu pantheon. Meditators or Yoga practitioners would do well to read the first book in this series in order to gain an overview of Trika Yoga. Recommended, along with Part 1, for large public or academic libraries.
